In 2020, Google was the most popular website, with no other domain getting more traffic during the period in which data was collected. The results for Google include its main search engine, and other services like Google Maps, Google Books, and Google Translate. Cloudflare only started using Cloudflare Radar in September 2020, so data for that year is just taken from September to December. However, the data for 2021 is based on the whole year. The COVID19 pandemic was said to contribute to the big change in how people use social media nowadays, and what platform they often use.

But according to Cloudflare, TikTok's traffic quickly began increasing and its domain was more popular than Google on days in February, March, and May 2021. And after August 10, TikTok got more traffic than Google on most days. Facebook, Microsoft, and Apple were the third, fourth, and fifth most popular domains of 2021. Each of these dropped in one place compared with 2020. The sixth most popular domain in 2021 was Amazon, followed by Netflix, YouTube, Twitter, and WhatsApp.
Tiktok may be number one in Cloudfare's analytics, however, most people still prefer to use Youtube and Netflix when watching videos, followed by Facebook and Instagram when sharing social media news.
